Why I Love Toronto
The Beverley Hotel
It is very easy to miss this hotel, and that is not an insult to the establishment. The hotel is literally so narrow that if you take just one extra step you will most likely have past it. However, this Queen West hotel is something you must not miss, especially the rooftop patio.
The patio has a stunning view of Toronto specifically to the east. My highlight was the view of the 299 Queen Street West roof, which has satellites for all the Bell Media brands. If begin to turn your head a bit north, then you will see the weather beacon of the Canada Life Building which has been telling Torontonians the weather for decades. What is amazing about the north east view is that it is very simple and there are hardly any condominiums in view, which gives you a simpler view of the city before its vertical residential boom.
In terms of the actual venue, I will admit the food is amazing, but a little pricy, so if you’re Dating on a Budget I would stick to the drinks which are an average price. The atmosphere has a very Miami vibe with its white cushioned benches. There is even an enclosed area with wood paneling which I think is fit for a Kardashian.
The Beverley Hotel itself has a very interesting mantra as it wants to reconnect the portion of Queen Street with what has been lost, in addition to creating a place that provokes conversation, welcomes strangers and makes room for conflicting ideals. It is trying to reconnect with what Queen West once was, which I appreciate.
I don’t know much about hotel rooms, because I have never stayed in them before, but I imagine they are very small considering the venue itself is very narrow.
All in all it doesn’t matter. What I am suggesting to you all is visit the rooftop patio, it is an experience that is not to be missed.
That is Why I Love Toronto
