Why I Love Toronto Reason #75
The Football Factory I never go to sports bars – because I’m not a very big sports fan. There are only a few times I will go to a sports bar specifically to watch a sports game – the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics, also the day that the Leafs make the final game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, well I’ll also be at a sports bar because c’mon it could be a once in a lifetime event! Now I love FIFA, I’m an Argentina fan and when Argentina had a game I made sure to go to a sports bar to watch the game. Now FIFA was my first venture to a sports bar, so when I had to decide where to go I took the advice of a very valuable Toronto source for places to go - CP24. CP24 told me that this was the place to watch a FIFA game and boy were they right! Alyse, Dasha and I went to for an afternoon game and got the best seat in the house!
Now each booth in the bar has a personalized TV where you can watch the game right in front of you! Now this was amazing for me, because when I was strategizing who Messi should pass the ball to and who was open to receive it I would put my finger to the screen in anticipation and guide my play with my finger. Plus our booth had a big screen TV overtop of Alyse’s head!! I love the atmosphere, it is filled with testosterone filled guys freaking out over sports and drinking beer it would be amazing! It was definitely a great first sports bar experience!
Plus they went all out in the men’s bathroom for FIFA where the urinals had nets where you would make a goal by peeing directly in the net! There was even fake turf in the urinal! Therefore, if you want to have an awesome sports bar experience or test the sports bar scene searching for a place that may be suitable for when the Leafs make the Stanley Cup Playoffs I say go to the football factory.
That is Why I Love Toronto.
